About Me

Keith J. Zimmerman serves as legal counsel and advisor to both private and public sector labor unions in contract negotiations, representation cases, unfair labor practice proceedings, discipline and discharge cases, interest and rights arbitrations, and impasses and fact-finding proceedings. He has a wide range of experience in both civil and criminal litigation, having appeared on behalf of his clients before arbitrators, administrative agencies, in district and circuit trial courts, and in Maryland's appellate courts. Mr. Zimmerman's practice also includes analysis of public budgets and defending educators and individuals in false allegations cases. Mr. Zimmerman frequently speaks at labor organization meetings and conferences on a variety of topics including educators' rights in the workplace and employee and union rights under the National Labor Relations Act, the Labor Management Reporting and Disclosure Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
